plane landing in a tribe in Papua New Guinea

The Internship

Our 3 month internship in Papua New Guinea was an unbelievable time of learning and getting a feel for tribal ministry. We spent our days taking classes about cultural assimilation, as well as hands on training where we spent time in neighboring tribes. We formed relationships with native Papua New Guineans who eagerly took us under their wings to learn language and culture. The lessons we learned about the challenges and joys of tribal ministry are so valuable to us in our pursuit of becoming career missionaries. We have returned to the US with a much broader understanding of what it takes to reach a tribe with the Gospel.
